Feng Shui FAQs Home Staging FAQs Young Living FAQs Q – What exactly is Feng Shui? A – Feng Shui means wind and water. These are the two natural elements that flow and move everywhere on Earth. They are necessary for our survival. Wind and water carry Chi, our energy or life force. Using Feng Shui principles allows us to use this flow of Chi to enrich our personal life and environment. Q – Is Feng Shui a religion or superstition? A – No, it is a philosophy, art and science of creating balance between humans and their environment. It allows you to harmonize your surroundings and in turn, it supports and empowers your personal life. Q - Why is it important to clear up clutter? A – Clutter in Feng Shui represents stagnant or negative energy. It blocks the smooth flow of Chi throughout your home. A cluttered home, office or desk will energetically weigh you down, cause you to have difficulty making decisions, stop new opportunities from coming into your life, and cause you to live in the past. Clear out that clutter! Q - Why is my home’s front door so important? A – In Feng Shui the front door of your home is the ‘mouth of Chi’. This is where our opportunities in life, good luck, and fortunes enter. The area leading up to the front of the home, including the door should be clean, well maintained, unblocked and welcoming. Remember to open your front door everyday and let in the possibilities! Q – Do I need to purchase new furniture and accessories at a great expense just to do Feng Shui? A – Absolutely not! If needed, a certified consultant will make recommendations to rearrange your furniture to improve the energy flow in your home. Too many accessories will cause clutter. If suggestions are made to use Feng Shui enhancements, they can be subtly placed. Q – How do I arrange a Feng Shui consult? A – The terms home staging, home showcasing, or interior redesign have been used by consultants to help sellers and agents get a home ready for an open house. They all mean the same thing: rearrangement of existing or rental furniture and accessories to create a home that is appealing to the highest number of potential buyers. Q - What are the benefits of home staging to the seller? A – Studies have shown that a staged home sells faster, has a competitive edge, enhanced marketability, a higher value and attracts serious buyers. A staged home looks more organized, polished, and neutral enough to allow buyers to picture themselves living there comfortably. Q – What areas of the home are included in the consultation? A – The staging process begins with the most important area – curb appeal. If a potential buyer does not like what he sees from the street, he drives away. The seller must capture their interest on the way to the front door. Once inside, an eye-catching arrangement of artwork or accessories draws the buyer in to see more of the home. Q- Does Phoenix Home Staging work with agents and realtors too? A – Absolutely! A buyer will decide in about 5 seconds upon entering a house if they will buy or not. It is critical to bring us into a home that needs some ‘TLC’ before the open house. Our goal is to show off every room to its best possible advantage. For agents: a staged home means a shorter sale time, reduced marketing expense, and the agent increases his reputation for excellence, and builds a loyal client base. Even Realtor Magazine recommends home staging! Q – What makes Phoenix Home Staging different from other stagers? A – We teach the seller how to become real estate savvy by allowing them to master easy design techniques to enhance their home for a quicker sale. These techniques are based on design principles of furniture placement, color, focal points, clutter control, traffic flow and the use of accessories. We also charge a reasonable flat rate, not a ‘per hour’ or ‘per room’ charge as most other stagers. Our process is not intimidating or costly since the seller will use their own rearranged furnishings. We do not have to combine Feng Shui principles to the staging if the seller does not want them. Q – Can you tell me about the Young Living company and its founder? A - Founded by D.
